About Christie Prentice
I started singing from the age of 7 were I trained classically and obtained my singing grades. I performed on the Westend stage and at the Royal Albert Hall for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webbers 50th birthday celebration. I had found a love for acting, dance and music and decided to continue my training and completed my A Levels in Dance, Music technology and Theatre Studies. I started performing with a band and started giging at the weekends. This is where my real passion for singing and performing live was born. Ever since then I have never looked back. I take real pride in what I do, when I leave a bride and groom after entertaining them and their guests tell me, "You have made our wedding so special', I really feel I have the best job ever!
I have worked as a session singer for 11 years - 7 years of this I have recorded from my own recording studio. My voice has appeared on TV, radio, been played in some of the largest UK stores, iTunes and overseas. I have also been in the iTunes Charts with original music I've co-written and performed on.
I have more recently become a songwriter in my own right, I have been writing for well established artists all around the world and this is something I'm really excited about and hope to be a big name in the songwriting industry.
Some other highlights of my singing career are:
I have been a vocal coach to previous X-Factor winner Matt Cardle; I've performed alongside pop group Alphabeat for 18 sell-out shows in 2008; I appeared on Ministry of Sound's 'Big Tunes X Rated' album, and most recently, you may have heard my recordings on 2018's series of Love Island - which can be purchased on iTunes!
